Jan-Sept foreign arrivals up 6% y/y

Over 6.1 mln foreigners entered Bulgaria in Jan-Sept, up 6% y/y, including 3.5 mln tourists and over 2 mln transit travellers, said the National Statistical Institute. Germany generated the biggest number of foreign arrivals with 514,000, followed by Greece with 441,000, Macedonia with 414,000 and Britain with 327,000. Revenues from overnights added up to 428 mln levs. Over 3.2 mln Bulgarians travelled abroad during the reviewed period, up 10% y/y.
