Bulgarian Property Prices Falling

New figures have revealed that the cost of property in Bulgaria is falling. Property prices in Bulgaria are falling, especially in the capital Sofia, it has been revealed.

The news, which comes from Colliers International research, may interest prospective holiday home insurance customers looking to invest in cheap property in eastern Europe.

According to the organisation, some boroughs in Sofia have seen price decreases of up to 19 per cent compared to last year.

With the sterling performing well against the Bulgarian lev, the opportunity for a property investment may seem even more attractive to Brits.

Data from Primelocation showed that Bulgaria was one of the most searched-for countries by UK nationals.

The Post Office has reminded any Brits looking to invest in Bulgarian property to ensure they send regular payments to cover the cost of their mortgage and bills.

Low-cost airline Ryanair recently announced it will be offering cheap flights from the UK to Bulgaria starting this month. The news followed the Bulgarian government's decision spend 40 million leva (£17 million) on improving Plovdiv airport.
