Winter tourism in Bulgaria
Bulgaria is expecting a 2-3% growth of the economy during the winter tourist season, Bulgarian Deputy Economy Minister Ivo Marinov has announced.

He pointed out that Bulgaria's tourism advertising is showing positive results so far. According to him, the country would depend on it for representing it as a year-long tourist destination.

Marinov participated in the presentation of the Rediscover Bulgaria project aiming at selecting 50 unknown and interesting destinations suitable for tourism which could develop local businesses.

Bulgarian citizens will be able to take part in the selection of the new 50 places by submitting their proposals. The new destinations should not have been selected in the Top 100 of the tourist sites in Bulgaria before.

Deputy Minister Marinov stated that the new list would be ready by the spring of 2011.
