Packed Planes Head from London to Bulgaria's Varna Airport

www.novinite.com, 23rd July 2006

If cheap fares are the key to filling domestic flights, the scorching heat wave in Great Britain seems enough to ensure full planes on the routes to Bulgaria's Black sea.
A group of 130 Irishmen has landed at the Southern Black Sea coast aboard a charter flight of European Air company, 24 Hours Daily reported. The tourists are to remain in the country for no more than two days and will head home aboard the same plane.
British Airways announced in the middle of July that its flights from Varna to London's Gatwick will continue to fly throughout the whole year.
The British company opened the Varna destination in March with two evening flights weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and added early Monday and Tuesday flights in May to cope with the increased demand over the summer.
The two-way ticket costs EUR 160, without airport fees.
All flights will be operated by Boeing 737-400 aircrafts, accommodating 146 passengers each.
