The village of Brestovo is located at the foot of the Balkan range in northern Bulgaria and is part of Lovech Municipality. It is about 5 km from the site Kakrina and 23 km from the town of Lovech. The region has beautiful scenery with many forests, lakes and streams, and agriculture is the main occupation of the locals. In the village of Brestovo there is a community center, a medical office, and an old church. Every year on May 7th here is organized a fair.
