Third Golf Course on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast Opens
The Thracian Cliffs golf complex is already functioning, Tsonko Tsonev - the Mayor of the seaside town of Kavarna – announced. The investment in the project amounts to 120 mln euro. 100 five-star apartments are ready and a restaurant set 20 meters above the sea opened just a few days ago. The official opening of the golf complex is on May 21st.
With The Thracian Cliffs the number of luxury golf courses set along the Bulgarian Black Sea coasts rises to three, together with the Black Sea Rama and Lighthouse Golf Resort which attract rich golfers from around the world. Total investmentс in the three elite golf courses exceed 320 mln euro. According to experts the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast is steadily turning into Bulgaria’s golf zone.
The luxurious development is set next to the village of Bozhurets, between the coastal towns of Kavarna and Balchik. It spans over 145 hectares on a south-facing plot and has the ambition to turn into the biggest golf and spa development on the Balkan Peninsula.
Golf legend Gary Player designed the 18-hole golf course. According to him the Thracian Cliffs golf course is the best of all 300 he has ever designed and the complex will be among the three best golf resorts in Europe. Thracian Cliffs is set amongst amazing nature and offers breathtaking panoramic sea views.
