Plovdiv Property Prices Hit Record High in 2007
The prices of the new buildings in Plovdiv hit a record increase in 2007. The square meter is being offered for sale for 733 Euros, while in 2006 it was at levels around 600 Euros. This equals to 22% rise. The most expensive properties for sale in the city are apartments near the Trimontsium Hotel in the very centre of Plovdiv. The prices of the old buildings are higher and reach 850 to 1200 Euros per square meter. A further increase of around 15-20% is expected in 2008.
Another trend is the creation of residential areas, in which people of certain social and economic level buy to live. More and more people, who can afford to pay more, prefer to live in a nice and modern place with all necessary amenities. Most of those also prefer to have property management service for their properties – maintenance of the common parts, gardening and landscaping, cleaning, etc.
