Strong interest to the Bulgarian real estate market
Enquiries have been strong for Bulgarian real estate over the last year. Property growth continues to climb on both an annual basis and quarterly basis in Bulgaria and this accelerating growth makes the country an attractive prospect for the coming year, TheMoveChannel - one of the largest UK portals for overseas property - has announced earlier this week.
The portal has mapped the house price growth at the end of 2016 using most recent data from Eurostat. The data shows that Bulgaria is among the countries with moderate to high growth with an annual increase in property prices in 2016 by 8% which is much higher than the average for the EU where they rose by 4.7 per cent accross the whole of 2016.
Among the EU member states for which statistics are available, the highest annual increases in house prices in 2016 were in Iceland (13.6 per cent), Norway (11.6 per cent) and the Czech Republic (11 per cnt), says the portal.
