Construction update for Vihren Apartments in Bansko
11 July 2006
Latest photos of Vihren building were taken on 11 July 2006.
The developer confirmed last week that the problem is going to a good solution and all last meetings with the Mayor and Chief Architects in Bansko have passed very well.
We wish to inform you once again about the reasons for the delay of the completion:
Bansko Municiaplity lost all the construction documents of the building and the other buildings around Vihren (completed years ago), according to the law there was a new procedure for recovering the lost construction papers. The procedure was completed successfully approx. 2 month ago. Vaptsarov, the developer of Vihren was supposed to re-issue all construction paperwork, architectural drawings, contracts with Water and Electricity supply companies, etc. and apply once again with the Bansko Municiaplity for issuing of new building permissions.
Vaptsarov presented a letter from the Mayor of Bansko stating that the delay has been caused by administrative reasons.

Most of the approvals have been granted already. The final approval expected is the one which will allow the developer to make the building extension between the existing Vihren building and the neighbour building (Hebros Bank). By the Bulgarian construction law Vaptsarov has the right to extend the building and form attached (terraced) building with the neighbour one.
All plans and paperwork for approval of the extension has been submitted to the Chief Architect for approval. According to the developer, all requirements have been met and it is a question of time for this permission to be granted. The building extension has small area and can be completed for just couple of months time.
The completion work on the main part of the building has advanced significantly and again it can be fully completed by December 2006 for the new skiing season.
The developer Vaptsarov confirmed that Vihren apartments will be completed in December 2006.
