BULGARIAN PROPERTIES Price Indices (BPI) – September 2013

After the Sofia property market reached its lowest point in March 2013, and the few successive months of a slow growth, it is presently in a pattern of monthly price drops of around 1-2% returning to the levels from the beginning of 2013. Sunny Beach prices have remained almost unchanged compared to August and the market there stabilizes with prices about 7% higher than last year’s. Bansko continues to offer the lowest prices for holiday homes in Bulgaria.

BULGARIAN PROPERTIES' indexes measure apartments listing prices in 4 main locations - Sofia, Varna, Sunny Beach and Bansko in order to provide timely information about the market trends in the biggest city and vacation housing markets in Bulgaria.

The key points for each index for September 2013 are as follows:

Sofia
• Change in last month: -1.82%
• Change in last 12 months: -7.24%
• Change from the highest value: -43.31%

The current BULGARIAN PROPERTIES Index value for the listing prices of apartments in Sofia for September 2013 is 56.69 percentage points. The average monthly listing price of the apartments in the capital in September was 847 Euro/sq.m.

Varna
• Change in last month: -1.70%
• Change in last 12 months: -1.91%
• Change from the highest value: -43.68%

The current BULGARIAN PROPERTIES Index value for the listing prices of apartments in Varna for September 2013 is 56.32 percentage points. The average monthly listing price of the apartments in the biggest coastal city in Bulgaria is 839 Euro/sq.m.

Sunny Beach
• Change in last month: -0.75%
• Change in last 12 months: +7.05%
• Change from the highest value: -34.56%

The current BULGARIAN PROPERTIES Index value for the listing prices of apartments in Sunny Beach for September 2013 is 65.44 percentage points. The average monthly listing price of the apartments in the biggest beach resort in Bulgaria is 792 Euro/sq.m.

Bansko
• Change in last month: +0.15%
• Change in last 12 months: -2.94%
• Change from the highest value: -59.37%

The current BULGARIAN PROPERTIES Index value for the listing prices of apartments in Bansko for September 2013 is 40.63 percentage points. The average monthly listing price of the apartments in the biggest ski resort in Bulgaria is 520 Euro/sq.m.
