Bulgaria launched website to help foreigners avoid property frauds
Bulgaria’s Registry Agency has launched a new website - www.property-in-bulgaria.bg. Its purpose is to provide general information and guidance to foreign nationals on the process of acquisition and management of real estate in Bulgaria. The new website will help the foreign citizens and companies avoid property frauds in Bulgaria. It provides information in 3 languages - English, Bulgarian and Russian.
The new website will provide opportunities for direct inquiries to the Registry Agency. People will receive answers within 24 hours. Answers regarding the competence of other departments will be given within 3 days.
In July 2012, the Bulgarian government granted EUR 15,000 for the development of this website.
On December 5, a new service will be launched - all property owners will be informed by an SMS when someone attempts to make a deal with any of their properties, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said.
