Property sales in Sofia increased by 7% in 2013
This is what calculations of BULGARIAN PROPERTIES show, based on the data from the Bulgarian Registry Agency. The property sales registered in Sofia were 19,430 in 2013 compared to 18,166 sales in 2012.
Bulgaria's real estate market experienced a growth of 3% in property sales in 2013. A total of 224,644 properties were sold in Bulgaria in 2013 compared to 218,151 in 2012, reveals the data of the Registry Agency.
BULGARIAN PROPERTIES’ calculations show that the real estate sales in the regional cities account for 54% of the total sales in the country in 2013. The average sales growth in the regional cities was 5.4% year-on-year, which is above the national average and indicates that the markets in the big cities are dynamic. The real estate sales in Plovdiv grew by 10% in 2013, in Varna - 9% and in Burgas - 17%, which is fully in line with the continued growth in demand for beach properties by foreigners.
We expect the rise in property sales to continue in 2014, and the trend for searching properties mainly in big cities and seaside resorts respectively by Bulgarian and Russian buyers to continue.
