Pamporovo will host the Winter Bike Duel
Pamporovo will host the fourth edition of the spectacular snow bike race - Winter Bike Duel from 14th to 16th February.
More than 80 people have already signed for participation in the race, as well as several racers from Greece. Advance online registration continues until 13th February, and there will be on-site registration as well.
Traditionally, the race is held in two stages: qualifications - individual rounds for time to determine the starting positions and finals – where the start is in pairs, and the winner is determined by direct elimination.
The news this year is that besides the three main categories (men, adolescents, women), the organizers have added one non-traditional category - Snowscoot / Skibike, to include all those who practise these two disciplines.
Another interesting thing is the track for the race, which this year will be positioned on the specialized four-cross track of Pamporovo Bike Park, which was built in the fall of last year and hosted the European Championship in the discipline. On 20th March, the National Snowboard Cross Championship for 2014 will be held on the same track. A little later in the year, in July, the same track will host a round of the 4X Pro Tour, which is the most prestigious race in the world, and Pamporovo is one of the seven selected destinations for conducting the premier forum.
