Holland’s Day of Bulgaria
On November 10th 2007 the Kingdom of the Netherlands hosted the event Day of Bulgaria in De Grote Kerk Cathedral in The Hague. This cathedral has long and rich history and today it is used both for wedding ceremonies and christenings of royal family members and for exhibitions, concerts and theater plays.
The exhibition called The Enchanting Bulgaria was opened by Bulgaria’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ivaylo Kalfin and the country’s ambassador in The Hague, as a welcoming speech was also read on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Maxim Verhagen. The visitors included Dutchmen, Bulgarians and foreigners living in the country who were extremely interested in the stalls of the Bulgarian and Dutch companies and agencies offering Bulgarian products, holidays to Bulgaria and real estate in Bulgaria.
Bulgarian Properties had a stall at which it presented its new projects for developments in Sofia and Bulgaria’s big cities, in the Black Sea resorts, in Bansko and the country’s ski centers. The guests were also interested in purchasing village houses in Bulgaria. The visitors were offered to sample Bulgarian wines and try traditional Bulgarian specialties. During the whole day the Middle Ages cathedral was filled with the sound of Bulgarian music and a Dutch choir sang Bulgarian folk songs.
This was a truly enchanting Day of Bulgaria in the Netherlands!
