VIDACHIM is the biggest car tyre production plant in Bulgaria. After it was privatised in 2004, the new owners invested more than 5 mln EUR into new machines and production facilities, new technologies and production lines to match the latest trends in this industry. The prviatisation of the plant was called "...the Bulgarian success story in the Privatisation" (Lidia Shuleva, ex-minister of Labour and Social Policy). The enterprise is working successfully and the management is hoping to reach the previous production of 1,850,000 tyres per year in the next few years. The other main highlight for this property is the New Danube Bridge: The new Danube bridge is some 12 km from here, on the E-79 road. This major infrastructure project costs 236 mln. EUR and is financed by European Union funds, leading European banks and the Bulgarian Government. The bridge will be complete until year 2010 and will connect Vidin with the neighbouring Romanian town of Calafat (currently the link is being performed by regular ferry-boats). After the Danube bridge is complete Vidin will become one of the main crossroads in Bulgaria, and will play significant role in the transport of the country and Europe.
The plot offered for sale is suitable for industrial or commercial purposes - Logistics centre, stores, industrial facilities, etc. Just across the road from the main entrance of the factory, and located next to the main E-79 international road, the plot would suit perfectly suppliers of raw materials for the factory, or other businesses connected with the tyre production.
Current status of the land - "Agricultural land" - Easy regulation and changing of the status to "land for development or commercial/industrial purpose" against additional fee of approx. 1.50 EUR/sq.m. There is no obligation for the new owner to regulate the land or develop it. Can be kept as it is at the moment for unlimited period of time.
