This is a lovely, recently renovated, 3 bed house of typical Bulgarian construction. The lounge and kitchen areas adjoin via an archway and are quite cool. The bathroom/ toilet is accessed through a separate doorway under the house. There is a lovely shaded area under the house, where we often put the table and chairs and use this as a dining/ sitting area. The Village
Malomir village, is very quiet and peaceful, with friendly locals, who love to give gifts of tomatoes, cucumbers peppers etc, but speak very little English. There are a few English speaking families in the village, and there is an English Bar, which serves breakfast, and occaisionally offers Sunday Roast. If you want to experience the real country then this is fo you. Great for all ages who like to experience new cultures, and enjoy simple pleasures. The area is rich with wildlife, storks nest round the corner from the house, and chickens, geese, sheep, goats and donkeys are a regular sight.
The local area
Yambol town is only 20mins drive. This bustling town has shops, bars, theatre, nightclubs, a market and an open air pool.Great for a bit more life but cheaper and less touristy than the livlier coastal resorts.
Bourgas town is just over 1 hours drive, and beaches about 1.5 hours drive. The area is also perfect as a base for anyone looking to purchase a property here, with all parts of Bulgaria reachable by car within 3/4 hours.
