For the last several years Englishmen and Americans have been buying authentic houses from the period of the Bulgarian National Revival in the region of the Elena Balkan and Veliko Tarnovo (northern Bulgaria).
One of the most successful deals was the one with the Hadjinikoli tavern in the old town of Veliko Tarnovo - a month ago the unique building was bought by an American millionaire who paid over 500,000 levs (250,000 euro) for it.
