OMV invests 4 mln euro in Vidin petrol base
Austrian oil and gas group OMV said it has invested 4 mln euro in the petrol base in Bulgarian city Vidin, on the Danube, it acquired earlier this year.
The company said it plans to invest more money in the facility but did not specify a hard figure.
The first stage of the development of the 6,700 cu m petrol base should be completed by 2008.
The Vidin petrol base, expected to process 200,000 tons annually, will play a key role in the deliveries for neighbouring countries Serbia and Turkey.
OMV has already operates a petrol base in Bulgarian capital Sofia. The company invested 9 mln euro in the 8,300 cu m facility which was unveiled in late 2005.
The Austrian company's Romanian subsidiary Petrom operates 73 OMV stations in Romania, 74 in Bulgaria and 31 in Serbia-Montenegro.
