Improvements at Bulgaria's Coastal Airports Ease Tourists
Bulgaria's coastal airports have undertaken different measures to ease the
passengers' serving process.
The Transport Ministry announced that two additional desks have been opened
at the Burgas Airport "International lines - Departure". The new desks are
equipped with automatic check-in and the luggage system and the X-ray
apparatus.
Part of the served passengers will be redirected to the second floor of the
airport where they will be able to wait for their flight after passing the
border and customs checks. The airport offers to the passengers improved
conditions, the ministry explained.
A special passage to the "International lines - Arrival" terminal is also
being constructed at the Burgas airport thus increasing the capacity of the
two terminals by 30%. The investments in the terminals will reach BGN 1,2 M.
The northern Varna Airport is also being subjected to improvements. The
passengers' zone is being expanded, thus increasing its efficiency by 40%.
Five new check-in systems have also been fitted thus increasing their number
to 18. The luggage bands at the Varna Airport have been extended as well. A
business salon has been readied for the passengers using the business class
in the regular flights.
Both Burgas and Varna Airports take pride in improved parking lots.
