Nature Phenomena near Pamporovo

DO NOT MISS TO SEE THE NATURE PHENOMENA:

Yagodina Cave
Yagodina Cave is 10 km long and 5 stories tall, with many labyrinths and abysses inside. Through a special path the visitors can see the amazing underground world formed over the course of millions of years. Electric lights make the mysterious formations come to life: draperies, pipe-like stalactites, cave pearls, “leopard’s skin” and hanging stalactites all visible along with many others. The upper floor was well-known to ancient Neolithic inhabitants. The cave-dwellings are situated 10 min from the artificial entrance.
If you wish you can get married here, however if later you wish to dissolve the marriage, you need to go to the Devil's Throat...

The Devil’s Throat
The Devil’s Throat is an abyss cave, formed as a result of the collapse of earth layers. A winding steep cement staircase leads from the hall to the natural entrance of the cave. While climbing, the visitor can see one of the highest underground waterfalls in Europe (42m). The temperature inside is 8oC.
A legend says it was here that Orpheus went under earth to the kingdom of Hades to save his beloved Evridika. The local inhabitants tell the story that anything enters into the underground labyrinth never goes out.

The Miracle Bridges
The miracle bridges represent an unique rock formation covering an area of 40,3 hectares, set in the Central part of Rhodopes Mountain. The bridges are most probably the result of an ancient cave collapsing in an earthquake. The river has carried away most of the smaller rock debris. In time, atmospheric processes shaped the two natural marble bridges of extraordinary beauty.
The bigger bridge is 12-15m in width and 96 m in length, with an opening 45 m deep and 43 m wide. About 200 m down the ravine, there is the second bridge, which is 60 m long.
At an average of 1 450m above sea level, the site is easy accessible all year round.
