Construction of a spa resort near Bolyarovo
A new luxury SPA complex, which will use mineral water from the territory of the village of Stefan Karadzhov, Municipality Bolyarovo, will be built by mid 2016.
The agriculture company Pro Agro Invest will invest 6 million BGN in the reconstruction of the resort. The company cultivates around 60 000 decares of farmland on the territory of 13 settlements in the region. It has bought the building of the SPA health resort in the mid 1990s at a tender from the municipality. The resort comes with 24 acres of park. The deal occurred after several years of negotiations, and the price was more than BGN 55 000.
‘We intend to build a new hotel for about 150 people. We will invest in the complete renovation of the old bath and will turn it into a SPA complex. The company is preparing documents for participation in European programs as well. We would like to receive a credit and our intentions are in the middle of 2016 to welcome the first tourists’, said managing partner Nikolay Dimov.
They agreed to use three springs with a total flow rate of 13 liters per second. The mineral waters in Stefan Karadzhovo have features identical to the mineral springs in the Czech resort Karlovy Vary. They are valuable in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and skin diseases. The idea is the complex to work all year round, while during the summer guests can combine their treatment and rest on the Black Sea with walks in the forests of the Strandzha Mountain.
