Elhovo Celebates Town Day with Music and Dance
In 1994 the Municipal Council of Elhovo decided to start celebrating the holiday of the town of Elhovo every year on Saturday and Sunday closest to March 26th. The culmination of the holiday this year was on March 27th and during the week leading to that day there were a number of events that took place.
As always this year there was something for everyone to enjoy. The events included a tourist excursion, a concert of amateur groups, a football tournament, sports games – street ball and table tennis, exhibitions, lots of dancing and much more.
The official festive program in Elhovo started with a parade on the central square led by the Yambol Brass Band and cheerleaders. After that the program continued with concerts the culmination of which were the fireworks.
The celebrations ended on March 28th with a walk along the Dranchi Dupka eco path and with a children’s football tournament.
In the last few years the region of Elhovo has become an attractive place for those who want to live or spend their holidays surrounded by beautiful nature.
