Elhovo Celebrates the Town’s Day with Fireworks and Lots of Music
For the last fifteen years, on the last Saturday of the month of March, the Bulgarian town of Elhovo celebrates the town’s day. This year the town’s day was on March 28th and that was they day of the culmination of the festivities which continued throughout the whole week.
The town’s festive program abounded with events and activities for everyone to enjoy. For all art lovers Elhovo’s amateur theater showed a new play, the ethnographic-archeological museum opened its permanent exhibition called Archeology and the sculptor Dimitar Borisov displayed his works - plastic arts.
There were also all kinds of sports events (marksmanship, games), the “The Five Mayors’ Cup” football tournament, a bridge tournament as well as an excursion along two eco paths.
On March 28th the town also welcomed the mayors of Sofia, Bourgas, Yambol, Topolovgrad and Bolyarovo.
In the last few years Elhovo has turned into an attractive area both for Bulgarian and foreign property buyers. The numerous lucrative real estate offers combined with the tranquility and the wonderful nature make Elhovo and the area the perfect place to live and relax.
