Dobrinishte Resort Gains Ground on Bansko
Dobrinishte resort has been attracting investor and tourist interest in recent years. Some see it as an alternative to the front-runner Bansko because of its reduced construction and the ski zone just above the resort, which includes a 5 km long piste - starting from Bezbog chalet and passing by Gotse Delchev lodge – as well as a two-seat lift and a number of drag-lifts.
Real estate agency analysts report a considerable interest in Dobrinishte over the last year. The resort offers the opportunity to develop active winter tourism and explore the mineral springs' potential. Plans are afoot to erect a large ski area in Dobrinishte, encompassing new ski-runs, tourist tracks and a hotel. The developers vowed not to allow massive construction in the resort.
Although the town is still upstaged by Bansko, it is at the forefront of Lira Thermal’s ground-brеaking. It will be one of the largest holiday villages, covering an 18 000 sq. m. plot. The resort attracts purchasers with its lower prices for land and property.
Real estate agents comment that Bansko, which has rapidly developed over the last few years, lost its momentum somewhat in 2007. Analysts believe that the resort has to raise the quality of its construction and attract more affluent clients because it is currently over-saturated with smaller buildings and apartments.
Holiday villages with low construction density and extra services, such as spa centers, tennis courts and swimming pools, appear the most lucrative alternative to investors. Real estate agents noted that 10 large-scale holiday projects are underway in Bansko.
