12.06.2007 60 Percent Of Hotel Base In Bulgaria`s Sunny Beach Booked Before Start of Summer Season

Though the summer season in the resort will officially be opened on June 16 it unofficially started some time ago, Focus news agency reported.
Sunny Beach attracted mainly tourists coming from the Scandinavian countries, UK and Germany.
The resort also gains popularity among French tourists and tourists coming from Eastern European countries, managing director of Sunny Beach Ltd Malina Stratieva said.
Stratieva said that the main problem in the resort is poor infrastructure. She said that urgent extension of the road connecting the airport of Bourgas and Sunny Beach is needed.
The ongoing construction works in the resort would be no problem for the tourists, Stratieva said. Construction already stopped in the east part of the resort where most of the tourists stay.
Camera surveillance and bigger number of police officers will be responsible for security this summer.
