Increase in deals with rural houses by 40% in 3Q 2012
The number of deals with rural houses increased by 40% in the third quarter of 2012 year-on-year. This type of the property can be called best selling this summer, Polina Stoykova, Chief Operations Manager of BULGARIAN PROPERTIES, said. The most expensive houses are sold in Burgas – at an average price of 28,100 Euros and the cheapest houses are offered in Yambol – at a price of 14,300 Euro. In Varna and Dobrich the average price was 18,000 Euro.
Average prices are used to calculate the trends rather than assessment of houses in different regions, Stoykova said to Trud Daily. Overall the interest in properties located along the southern Black Sea coast in the last 2-3 years is higher, because of the better supply. There are a lot of renovated houses, which are sold by British owners at prices even below a cost value. Exactly these properties are sold to Russian buyers. Around Varna and Dobrich are offered for sale traditional rural houses, so prices are lower than average prices in Bourgas.
The company reported a rise of about 30% in deals with beach holiday properties in the third quarter 2012. For example, deals in Sunny Beach were concluded at an average price of 490 Euro/sq.m., while in April-June the average price was less - 475 Euro/ sq.m. There is an interest in ski resorts where prices start from 300 Euro/sq.m.
In the cities the demand for inexpensive apartments priced up to 50,000 Euro is continuing, as Bulgarians are concerned about the uncertainty of their income, Stoykova said.
