02.10.2007 Reality show called 'The New Bulgarians' is on TV every Saturday at 4 pm

The most popular national TV channel bTV starts a reality show about foreigners buying properties and moving to live in Bulgaria. BulgarianProperties, as a sponsor of the show, attended the official launching of the series on 1st October. The promotion party was held at one of the most luxurious restaurants in the capital of Sofia in the presence of the participants in the show, most of who have already moved to live in Bulgaria and started new lives here. They were welcomed with home-made bread according to an old Bulgarian tradition.

The Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev also attended the party to welcome the ‘new Bulgarians’. In his speech the Prime Minister pointed that the social and cultural barriers are not what they used to be in the past as today’s world is much more open and democratic. He said he was surprised to have met so many foreigners all over Bulgaria, even in villages in the far ends of our country. Sergey Stanishev claimed that the Bulgarians are very open, hospitable and tolerant and he believes that all foreigners who come to Bulgaria will always feel welcome and will find their new friends here. He also added that he will personally watch the TV show to see the issues the foreigners are up to when they come to Bulgaria.

Many public people, popular TV presenters and journalists were present on the party. All of them expressed their true hope that Bulgaria will give the ‘new Bulgarians’ the lives they have always wanted to have. This shows a public awareness, concern and expressed will to facilitate foreigners to find new lives, start businesses and enjoy our beautiful country.
