Sofia property sales on the rise
Property sales in Sofia increased by 12.4% on an annual basis in Q4 of 2014 according to calculations by BULGARIAN PROPERTIES using data about sales volume from the Registry Agency.
In 2014 as a whole the number of deals in Sofia rose by 7.4% to 20,863 sales, which is the biggest increase for the last three years and confirms our thesis of a steady recovery of the real estate market in Sofia.
For the last three months of 2014 the number of property sales in Sofia rose to 6,975, which makes about 115 sales per working day on average.
With regards to the regional cities we should note that the sales in Varna in the second half of the year showed a slight increase. Plovdiv ended the year with a very positive trend, an active market and a sales increase of 3.6% annually.
The holiday market unfortunately marked a decline in the sales in 2014. This is most evident in the seaside resorts because of the withdrawal of the Russian buyers.
