Positive outlook and commemorative stamp in honour of Sunny Beach season opening
The official opening of the summer season in Sunny Beach this year took place under the sign of 55-year anniversary of the foundation of the largest and most popular resort on the Balkans.
The surprise of the evening was the presentation to the public of a new postage stamp with a picture of Sunny Beach, which is now already available on the market. According to the executive director of the company 'Sunny Beach' Alexander Dimitrov, only 480 pieces have been put on the market. The peers of the resort, who are associated with its development of the complex over the years received diplomas.
The stylish holiday in honour of the opening of the season was attended by a lot of guests, deputies, town councillors, hoteliers and people connected with the history of Sunny Beach. Around 610 000 tourists had their vacation in the resort during year 2013. The business association 'Sunny Beach' predicts a growth by 4-5% of tourists this year. The last season the resort provided 10% of GDP in the amount of EUR 4 billion. The management of the resort expects a successful season in 2014.
Artists and popular music bands performed for the good mood of all the guests. Visitors were showed a short film dedicated to the anniversary of the Sunny Beach resort.
