Bulgarians prefer Borovets for a holiday home purchase
According to the statistics of BULGARIAN PROPERTIES, since the beginning of the year 30% of the inquiries for Borovets ski resort are made by Bulgarians. At the same time, the inquiries of the Bulgarian buyers for properties in Bansko and Pamporovo cover 15% of all inquiries received. The interest is mainly towards small newly constructed apartments in Borovets resort or in the surrounding villages. There is also an interest towards the nicely renovated houses in the villages around Borovets.
"Borovets is near Sofia and is quite attractive for Bulgarians who want to buy a ski property, which can be enjoyed during the weekends", shared his observations Stefan Abanozov, broker at BULGARIAN PROPERTIES for Borovets area. Then he adds: "In recent months many attractive properties at reasonable price appeared on the market. This was something that Borovets resort was missing for long time and there is definitely a demand for such properties."
The average asking prices of the apartments in Borovets were in the price range 700-750 Euro/sq.m, and many deals were signed around 600 Euro/sq.m. The average price of the purchased apartments in Borovets in 2013 was 33 500 Euro.
At the same time, the ski resorts of Bansko and Pamporovo offer lower prices - an average of 380 Euro/sq.m based on actual deals signed in 2013, yet Borovets is the ski resort preferred by the Bulgarian buyers.
