The other main highlight for this property is the New Danube Bridge: The new Danube bridge is some 12 km from here, on the E-79 road. This major infrastructure project costs 236 mln. EUR and is financed by European Union funds, leading European banks and the Bulgarian Government. The bridge will be complete until year 2010 and will connect Vidin with the neighbouring Romanian town of Calafat (currently the link is being performed by regular ferry-boats).
