The settlement is well developed and the local people are proud with their cultural customs. This is the birthplace of the famous Bulgarian poetess – Dora Gabe. There is a monument built in her honor and in the cultural club of the village, there is a memorial exposition of her. Every year in Dabovik a competition for young poetesses is carried out, as well as a contest for young man playing on wooden flute and singing national songs. The village is a great destination for rural tourism and relaxation, cause of its beautiful nature and well kept traditions.
