The village of Dermantsi is situated in Northern Bulgaria and is part of Lukovit district in Lovech Municipality. It is placed 113 km from the capital Sofia and 45 km from the town of Lovech. Through the eastern part of the village runs Vit river that comes from the Teteven mountain and flows into the Danube. The lower part of the river is divided into four branches, thus forming three islands. Once near the village of Dermantsi lived Thracians. Today here could be found many mounds as Ostrenitsa, Chumina and Daikina. The village has a beautiful church, built back in year 1872. The local population is around 2,000 residents.
