This region offers the opportunity of enjoying good health, beautiful scenery, skiing and an attractive night life. For visitors who want to stay longer there is an ample choice of properties for sale - the prices being within reach of most potential buyers. Velingrad besides being an attractive area to visit also holds a strategic place within Bulgaria so purchasing a property here could be a very shrewd investment.

This region is home to over 70 mineral springs which are particulary good for people with chest complaints and conditions of the joints. Also there are 16 open and indoor swimming pools most of them using warm therapeutic

mineral water. So as well as staying in a region which has a warm summer and mild climate it is also beneficial for your health. If you want to find out if this is true then visit nearby Yundales and meet the locals, many of whom are over 100 years of age. If you ask them the secret of longeivity they will tell you that it is down to pure highland air, stress free living and plenty of Bulgarian yoghurt.

In the summer time you can visit the Kleptuza lake and rent a boat or a water bike and when you are tired spend the rest of the day relaxing in the beautiful park built around the vicinity. In winter there is always skiing in nearby Jundola which has a 350m and a 600m runs and which also offers exceptional weather conditions –there are no winds. Also around Velingrad you can enjoy the many folklore ensembles that preserve the regions traditions through singing, music and dancing.

The day is drawing to a close but there is still plenty to see and do. There is the nightlife.
Go to the Tavern Omar and enjoy the electric atmosphere – live music and dancing, especially the table dancing, very stylish and not the least but sleazy. However if you prefer Plovdiv or Bansko there are plenty of bus services to get you there.

Regarding property for sale there are prices to suit every pocket. In the remote areas you can spend as little as 11 000 euros and in the more expensive areas about 30 000 euros. So if you want to stay in one of the oldest and most attractive Bulgarian spa resorts then Velingrad might be for you.
