Two luxurious golf playgrounds on the Black Sea Coast

Two brand new luxurious golf playgrounds will transform the Bulgarian Black Sea coast in even more attractive tourist destination. The grounds will be completed in two years and will correspond to all of the international standards. One of the designers is the world famous golf players of all times - Gary Player, who visited Bulgaria in November last year. The South African player, also famous for his investments in the golf industry, was in Bulgaria because of an invitation from the Bulgarian Golf Association.
Gary Player will be working on the new projects after the “St. Sofia” playground that is situated nearby the village of Ravno Pole in Elin Pelin Municipality.

The two grounds nearby the northern part of the Black Sea will be with 18 wholes. The first one “Black sea panorama”, will be build 5 kilometers away from Balchik. Except for the excellent golf facilities that will be offered the ground will also provide a beautiful view from cape Kaliakra to cape Galata. The complex will include over 200 luxurious villas.
The second ground will be called “Thracian rocks” and will be nearby Kavarna. The infrastructure of the site will be completed by luxurious hotels, yacht port and spa center.

Experts from different countries stress on the fact that the development of the golf industry always leads to the attraction of new tourists. For example countries like Spain Japan and China, in which the golf was not well developed, are now popular golf destinations.

The grounds that are situated nearby the seaside will be the first professional playgrounds in Bulgaria. They will be completely ready in two years. According to Gary Player in two years and a half we will be able to host European golf tournament. The development of the game will open new working places for the people in Varna district.

Now the newest and best golf playground in Bulgaria is “St. Sofia” nearby Ravno pole. It was opened on 23d of October last year and the firs symbolic hit was done by the Prime Minister of Bulgaria Mr. Simeon SaxCoburggotski. The playground is owned by the Bulgarian Golf association. The same playground hosted “The first Bulgarian Volvo open golf championship for amateurs”. The terrain is 540dka and has 18 wholes and thus covers the European standards and requirements for organization of international competition of the stable forth without reduction of the handy cut system.
