If you are visiting Stara Zagora this summer try the popular night life. There are many venues to cater for every taste. Drinks are relatively cheap and food is always available. However night life is not just concerned with going to night clubs and dancing the night away till the early hours of the morning or dining in the any number of fashionable restaurants that are on offer. There are also many other activities that you can enjoy in the warm summer evenings like going to the opera or the theatre, or visiting the cinema, or maybe relaxing in one of the many open air cafes that line the leafy shop filled streets, or perhaps even a game of bingo. Whatever you choose there is plenty here to do in Stara Zagora.

When you have finished exploring Stara Zagora for the day you can have an entertaining evening at the state opera theatre, founded in 1928 and recognized for its excellent productions all over the world. If you prefer something less ‘ high brow’ there is always the Geo Milev Drama Theatre. If you are on a family outing you might prefer the State Puppet Theatre which provides entertainment for children and adults alike. If on the off chance that the weather is poor and you are at a loss of what to do there is always the cinema. A visit to the cinema in Bulgaria is very cheap, prices can be as low as 2BG levs and the films are nearly always in English. Bulgarians have to watch western films mostly through subtitles.

How about a game of bingo? You may be surprised to hear that bingo is a very popular past time here in Bulgaria. Many of the locals go regularly and the prizes are good too, and winning a new car is not uncommon. So eyes down and it could be you!

Besides the large number of restaurants on offer in the centre of Stara Zagora there is also the ‘café culture’. Many people spend hours in and around the pavement cafes surrounded by leafy boulevards watching the world go by. Visiting one of these many cafes gives you the opportunity to meet the locals or spend quality time with your friends and loved ones. Not only that, but the coffee is good and is very reasonable priced.

If you like Stara Zagora and want to come back, you could buy a property here at a very reasonable price. Prices can range from about, 9000 euros to 40000. Some properties may need renovations whilst others are ready to walk into. Now is probably the best time to buy as Bulgaria will soon be entering Europe and prices of property here are almost certain to increase.
