Southeast Europe's largest industrial park is expected to rise in Sofia, investors announced Wednesday.
The EUR 200 M project is funded by the Finanziaria Internazionale bank and other Italian investors.

The large facility will rise near Sofia, alongside a major highway linking the capital city with the border checkpoint to Serbia.

"At the Industrial Park Sofia we will present the most up-to-date light industry and information technologies," the project's Executive Diector Andrea de Vido said.

A number of new jobs will be opened at the complex, the investors also announced.

In general, the industrial park is expected to boost the area's economy and lead to improved infrastructure.
