ISIA Approves Of Bulgaria’s Ski Facilities Boosting Sofia 2014

Representatives of 22 countries took part in an Ski Instructors Association (ISIA) congress in the Borovets winter resort June 4 and got acquainted with the winter sport opportunities that Bulgarian resorts offer.

During a press conference ISIA members said Borovets and Bansko, Bulgaria’s leading winter resorts, could host international competitions, giving a boost to Sofia’s bid for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

ISIA deputy president Normand Lapierre said infrastructure in Bansko was as good as the one in Vancouver, host of the 2010 Winter Games.
