Bulgaria Closes Exotic Jazz Fest

The attractive jazz festival in Bulgaria's Bansko has reached a spectacular end the past weekend, mixing jazz with exotic ethno sounds.

African-American voice Sydney Ellis was the most celebrated star in Sunday night's closing gala, organizers said.

The charismatic diva shared the interest of the audience with Cuban talents Sexto Sentido, the Hot Four Creole Jazzband, Plamen Petrov's trio, Antoniy Donchev, and Varvara Pankova.

Varied tunes filled the ninth edition of the fest all the way from its opening, which was marked by a salsa party.

French-Cuban legend Raul Paz and the dances of Alfredo Torez added yet another doze of hot "spice" to the event.
