European holidaymakers 'visiting Bulgaria'

Ready2Invest.co.uk, 22nd September 2007

Holidaymakers from different countries are continuing to take breaks in Bulgaria, according to new figures. Bosses at the Zlatni Pyasatsi resort stated that there had been a massive influx of tourists coming from Russia.

Figures from tourism officials also showed that Bulgaria was highly popular among holidaymakers from the UK and Germany. This could represent good news for overseas investors who own rental accommodation in the country, as their income in some areas would be largely dependent on the tourist trade. The figures also highlighted the popularity of Bulgarian among Scandinavians, as a large influx of Norwegian and Swedish tourists was recorded.

Earlier this month, UK newspaper the Independent stated that up to 40,000 British investors now own property in Bulgaria.
