Borovets Ski Resort Top Spot to Make Money from Property in '08

News.bg, 4th March 2008

The Irish Sunday Tribune has ranked Bulgarian winter resort of Borovets to 6th position in its Top 10 of places to make money from property in 2008, Dnevnik a.m. reported.
It is no surprise that the city of Dubai ranks first in the world's fastest growing cities. On the list are also: Ibiza, Poznan, Toulouse, Geneva, Orlando, London, Hurghada and Silver Coast.

Bulgaria has been one of the hottest markets in Europe for the last couple of years, the paper says. But in the rush to bag a bargain here, the property market in some parts of the country has become a little too crowded and, well, not as cheap as it once was, the Irish Sunday Tribune reports.

The UN World Tourism Organisation believes Bulgaria will become one of the most appealing 'new faces' in the tourism industry and by 2010 expects 20 million tourists will be visiting the country annually, Dnevnik a.m. informed.

According to Global Property Guide data Bulgaria had the fastest growing house prices in 2007 with a growth of 30.6%.

The Irish article also mentions about the Super Borovets development. The Sunday Tribune continues: And while Bulgaria isn't exactly known for its skiing it is fast positioning itself as a less expensive alternative to the more chic locations in France and Italy. Besides, what it lacks in facilities and machinery it more than makes up for in its ski season, a lengthy one which runs from December to April.
