Bansko Sport Fest 2006

Bansko Municipality and the Kempinski Hotel Grand Arena are holding the Bansko Sport Fest 2006 in October.

The event is taking place for the first time. It will be under the patronage of Bansko mayor Alexander Kravarov and with the kind support of Hotel Strajite and Hotel Lion.

The event is for amateurs and professionals. Companies, organisations and individuals are most welcome to participate. It is being held to draw a wide range of people to come to Bansko in October, to promote the town as an all-season resort with a wide range of tourism and sports opportunities.

The event will include a mini-football tournament, street basketball, badminton, extreme run, mountain biking, swimming, rollers and a tennis tournament. The biggest attraction during Bansko Sport Fest 2006 is going to be the Iron Man competition where participants will compete in swimming, cycling and running. The winner will be awarded the Iron Man of Bansko 2006 title.
