2 new ski runs built in Chepelare

Over 100,000 levs have been invested in the 2 new runs constructed at the Mechi Chal ski center in Chepelare, the resort town located 80 km south of Plovdiv and very close to the popular Pamporovo ski resort. The resort goes into the '05-'06 winter season with ski runs totalling 20 km. Another 28 km of runs for alpine skiing and snowboarding and 15 km of runs for cross country skiing are planned to be added over the next 2 years. The 1,000-bed resort was visited by 100,000 tourists last winter.
