2 NEW PISTES WILL OPEN IN CHEPELARE

Chepelare is the new hit for the Bulgarian ski lovers. The resort in the Rodope mountain offer the cheapest lift passes, nice pistes, and cosy hotels with a total number of 1500 beds. The season in Chepelare opens tomorrow. The most expensive double room in the resort costs 50 BGN. The average price per bed is 15 BGN. The prices of the food in the restaurants during the high season will be the same as the prices in an average restaurant in Sofia and Smolyan for example.
The prices of the lift passes will be from 20- 25 BGN, announced Madankov, a head of the local association of hoteliers and restaurateurs in the town.

The capacity of the lift is 700 people per hour and the 1200 meters long drug lift has a capacity of 400 people per hour.
This season two brand new ski pistes with a total length of 5, 2 km will operate in Mechi Chal site. Thus the total length of the pistes and ski roads reaches 28 kilometers. One of the pistes in the resort is 5, 2 kilometers long and is the longest ski piste on the Balkan Peninsula.
A brand new tourism information center will open this winter. The center is equipped with a special weather monitor that will be connected to the hotels and every tourist will be able to see the conditions of the pistes, the depth of the snow, the temperature and the atmosphere pressure. The Swiss agency for development helped for this innovation. The resort will also offer a 20 kilometers long trace for motor sleights and 10 kilometers for dog sleights.

Pamprovo already opened the new season with festive fireworks. The snow cover was 15 centimeters. The first foreign tourists are coming on Saturday- people from England and Ireland. All of the construction works will be seized until than, assured the mayors of Smolyan-Dora Iankova and Chepelare- Todor Bozukov.
The new beds in the resort will be 1000 in three brand new hotels and one reconstructed hotels in the resort.
The total length of the ski pistes in the resort has reaches 3 kilometers after the construction of 4 brand new ski pistes in the resort. Pamporovo Joint Stock Company invested 1, 5 million BGN to prepare them for the new skiing season. Part of the funds was used for the overcoming of the problems caused by the floods from the summer.
The pistes will be additionally covered with snow by 5 snow cannons. The water for them is supplied by pipes deeply dug underground from the dam of the resort.
